What would go well with chocolate brownies? I made some today but they seem sort of more like cake than a chewy brownie, so tomorrow I plan to slather them in icing

Cannot decide if it should be fudgy chocolate or perhaps a contrast such as pink peppermint

Whipped cream and cherries are perfect! You can pour a little of the cherry juice over your brownies, maybe a few little toothpick holes for it to seep into, and let that soak in a little and top it off with the whip cream and cherries, its yummmy.

I haven't tried that with brownies but I do it with chocolate cake, and also chocolate cookies. Cool whip is good but actual whipping the cream makes it to die for.

I guess I could make a rich icing using 10% cream and ice them with that - it never occurred to me to put whipped cream on top - that would be good for an individual brownie serving - thanks!

I want something that will moisten them just a bit without making them too soggy

(Now I want to go downstairs and cut a brownie so I can try the whipped cream trick!) :chew::drool:

I turned on Superchannel today and a movie was on with Josh Duhamel called Lost in the Sun - the first words I heard him say were:
"That's was she said" and then he chuckled

Kinda weird huh, [since I read that phrase a lot here on the SKMB]

Well - must dash once again as it is 10 to 4 and I start work tonight at 4:30 - I might try to get back on the SKMB on my break

Sounds like a good policy - that way the situation won't escalate and you won't get into a fight!

Now, I KNOW you didn't just tag me, asking if I like an American car??? An ugly muscle car???? That I see at least 10 of in a 15-minute drive???? Doc, for shame. I really thought you knew me better than that. Let's review:
1) Don't like American cars
2) Don't like muscle cars
3) Don't like cars that everybody likes/wants/owns

YOu must deal with people who are upset seeing you're in the health care sector. I couldn't handle being a paramedic/nurse in some of those trauma things on the roads and stuff. I've learnt to be more assertive since I started coming on SKMB. It has given me more confidence.
