This is on my TBR. I think it just got bumped up a few spaces. It's one of those books that feed the soul. I don't do it justice, really. CYB did a review of this book a few years back and he raved about it, too. Let me know if you read it.

I do not think that means what you think it means!

I love Larry McMurtry and his Duane books. Not to mention Last Picture show.View attachment 20981
I wanted to read this again before I moved on to the other three. Temporarily postponed the Tartt book.
Same. His ability to mix "delight and dole" is almost second-nature for him. He's fun to read.I love Larry McMurtry and his Duane books. Not to mention Last Picture show.
Very much so without being stupid.Same. His ability to mix "delight and dole" is almost second-nature for him. He's fun to read.
I still haven't read The Fourth Hand, Until I Find You, and Avenue of Mysteries.Dandelion Wine.
This one is just beautiful. Ray Bradbury is my second favorite author (and is tied with John Irving) — I'm never let down by his stories.
Ayuh, I've admittedly only read three of his novels But I loved them so deeply I consider him one of my favorites.I still haven't read The Fourth Hand, Until I Find You, and Avenue of Mysteries.
Mine, too. Glad to see you started the Bradbury book.Ayuh, I've admittedly only read three of his novels But I loved them so deeply I consider him one of my favorites.
You do know that Ridley is the author of TDOER, right?Finished In Harm's Way by Pearson. Started The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer. Could've sworn I read this already - but am about 60 pages in and am now convinced I haven't. The house is reminding me of the one in Usher's Passing.
I gave up Grisham long ago but A Time to Kill was my favorite for a time. Would you let me know if you think that Sycamore Row would complete ATTK ?Just started Sycamore Row by John Grisham. It's a sequel to A Time To Kill. I didn't really like the Jake Brigance character (the lawyer and main character) from the book (I liked him in the film though) as I thought he was rather arrogant so hopefully he has learned some lessons in the three year time span from the end of ATTK and where this novel picks up.
