Today was a cluster#$!@, and I expect more of the same tomorrow. Starting an entirely new reading program for K-2 with not enough supplies and two teammates who really don't want to do it in the first place. It involves a lot of prep the day before, but those two did absolutely zero today. I suspect they expected the other three of us to pull their materials for them. Nope. The kids were INSANE today, too. I predicted that a big weather change would be happening shortly (something about that seems to affect kids quite often), and PRESTO! huge storm tonight. Maybe they won't be so squirrelly tomorrow :) I remembered why I'm not fond of working with women--I couldn't possibly care less about their periods or in-laws, and the way some of them talk about their husbands is atrocious (either embarrassingly detailed or straight out mean)--but I so enjoy the kids, even the naughty ones :)Working with them fascinates me, and they make my heart happy.

My Aussie friend is going to be here on Friday afternoon, staying until the following Saturday, and I haven't gotten half of the things I wanted to do done *sigh*. The family was helpful in the getting ready process for about a day, but that's over with. That's stressful, too. Good thoughts and strong vibes would be appreciated.

Good luck - will keep you in my thoughts and prayers - yes sometimes some women can be very difficult to work with! (((skimom2)))
Keep up the good work and just know that the kids are getting something out of it - that is the most important part :thumbs_up::)

Going to have a hot bath and go to bed before 11 p.m. I went to see a physiotherapist regarding "women's stuff" (where is that DiO'Bolic ?) [always talking about the 'wimmenfolk'] ;;D

I finally learned the proper way to do a Kegel - I hope this is not too much information.

Get to practice every day for two weeks, then go back for a check up and progress report

I highly recommend this type of physio for any woman - much better than those invasive operative procedures I have to type all the time! :biggrin2:
:flex:p.s. this monkey is doing it wrong - it is actually quite subtle, as I discovered

Good thoughts, positive vibes and more motivation for those to help out.

I read that as psychotherapist, and thought 'what a great idea, all women should see one.' :p

Basically left the house on Wednesday to go to the hardware store for picture frame glass and do some watering--that's it. I plan to mow the lawn on Friday, and anyone who dares to comment on the state of the house and yard risks physical assault.

The rest of the day was a marathon to see how far I could make it before collapsing through just all the pictures I've shot since beginning photography, never mind stacks of others (which I've assembled but not even looked all through let alone scanned). As for framed ones, if I want them in the slideshow--may just shoot them with my iPhone rather than removing from frames to scan, and replace with scans later. I laughed grimly at images showing all my albums on one set of shelves with room to spare. The albums are not even on that shelf anymore--I was finally able to move enough items the other day to get JUST all the bags of loose pictures, negatives, and CDs together there, and worry about the albums later. (Formerly three years' worth weren't even in the same room!)

By working about noon to 10:30 p.m. only stopping long enough for dinner, I managed to get from my first pictures in 1972, to 1993. That is almost half as far as date, but a fraction of volume considering the exponential explosion since going digital in 2008. Of course if/when all the lost digital images are recovered and placed in order, going through them should be easier just scrolling as opposed to climb to reach a shelf, pull bags down, sort the envelopes which may include pictures of Mom from those which won't, and flip through the pictures. Once I hit 2001 when I started getting photo CDs it should become easier because I can just look at the thumbnail print rather than leafing through a pile of pictures! Someday (ha) I'd like to get them all in albums but I'm just as glad I have not so far. I'd really like to settle on some uniform, archivally correct, organized system than to go on cramming my cherished memories into questionable plastic pages in albums of different sizes and shapes. (Though it will be hard to part with those from my last two years of high school as they're really cute.) Watched TV awhile, crashed a few hours, will get a little more sleep before tackling more.

Just finished conducting a client training session. They have now been schooled on how to use the application without incurring the wrath of SwiftDog :)

Got to muddle through the rest of the day. Still feeling pretty cruddy :(

Have a rehearsal tonight with my musicians workshop. I'm not singing so I won't be infecting the mics with my SwiftDoggy germs!

So I had a surreal moment earlier this evening. I was visiting Brody Dog and SwiftMom before rehearsal. While we were eating dinner I saw myself on TV :anonymous:

A local news program, Chronicle, filmed a segment on the flatbread pizza place / bowling alley where my work outing was held back in August. Just shots of us bowling but I was in like 3 different shots. Pretty weird. We knew they were filming but we didn't know the context or if we'd even make the cut. Coincidently, I was interviewed on the same program about 19 years ago for a music program I was involved in at the time

Tonight at rehearsal we started work on Little Red Corvette. Our female singer knocked that out of the park!

I also got suckered into playing bass for a band at work. They have a group of people that work there that play one of the organization's annual events. They lost their bass player and one of my bosses volunteered me. Now I have to borrow a bass from one of my Swiftcousins and learn like 18 songs :(
