Work,work, work!
Had to jump start SwiftMom's car after work last night. Dead battery. She hit the high beam switch getting out of the car. Saw it as soon as I opened the door. She does it at least 3 or 4 times a year. Battery dies, car won't start, denies she did it.......
Took the Jeopardy test earlier this evening. We'll see what comes of that!
Have to travel for work next week. That'll be fun, not!
I'm not sure I understand this concept - how can hitting a high beam switch getting out of a car cause the battery to die?Work, work, work!

I have accidentally left the interior light on all day while at work (or overnight) and that can definitely kill the battery.
Ah! I see - now I get it! ThanksThe high beams in my Mom's car are controlled by a stick on the steering column. If you push it forward, even when the car is off, the high beams go on. I've seen her hit the stick with her pocket book getting out of the car a bunch of times in that car and others my folks have owned over the years. Same result each time. Lights on = drained battery.
When I hooked up the jumper cables the headlights immediately came on and when I opened the door I saw the stick pushed forward.
Ah! I see - now I get it! Thanks
You need to get her to change her habits somehow - good luck
It's dang chilly here tonight - only 6 Celsius which is about 42 F and it will probably go down lower overnight
