Good luck to those taking the Jeopardy test.

I have three white fruit cakes baking. That explains what I spent my morning doing. Note to self: Next time shower first. fruit cake takes up to 4 hours to bake.

I also cooked what I need to make a potato salad. We have unseasonable warm weather today so we decided we'll BBQ some burgers for dinner.

I could use those fruitcakes in my plot to take over the world. I figure if I drop one from about 5,000 feet I could take out 3 square city blocks. :)

Lol. Everyone here loves them. Unfortunately for me, some like the white and some like the dark. So, at least two days of baking fruit cake.

Also planning home made Tourtière this year. I did two last year and was so shocked when they turned out.

(Other kids used to leave Santa cookies and milk. We left him Tourtière and beer.)

Oh, so you’re the reason Santa left me Justin Bieber concert tickets last year. Thanks a lot. :disturbed:

Now, what I did tonight.....

fruit cake is best if you store it in a cool dark place for a few months. I make it in September or October, and we don't eat any until December.

When baking, I line the pan with parchment paper. I take it out, let it cool, then wrap in plastic and then wrap in tin foil. Then I put it in my cooler in the cold room. Tonight after it cooled, I had the brilliant idea of using my FoodSaver to seal it air tight. It made sense at the time.

So I seal one end, put a cake in the bag, put it in the machine and set it remove the air. Think about that for a second. I was sucking ALL the air out.

I started laughing. I immediately cut the plastic, but the damage may not be reversible.

If it's not edible, maybe I'll just take over the world.

Back from rehearsal. Tunes we are doing are:

Back to Black- Amy Winehouse
Runaway- Bonnie Raitt version
Heavy Metal- Sammy Hagar
Little Red Corvette- Prince

Our singer just slays on Runaway.

I have tomorrow off so a 4 day weekend for me! I have some errands to do. My LTC renewal has been completed. Gotta go pick that up. Gotta take SwiftMom to the RMV to get her license renewed. Will watch the Sox / Indians game. That starts at 4. Hate the bizarro scheduling in the playoffs.

Saturday the bit*hin' Camaro goes in for a detail. High gloss exterior and engine detail. The detail shop I use is primo. The guy has like a 2 month waiting list. Will do some cleaning around SwiftDog Manor while I'm waiting for that to be done.

Sunday and Monday will be chillaxin' days.

I did that with some brownies I made. They were split into two bags. The second one survived.

Currently I'm sitting in Wallsend Library which closes at 2pm(20 minutes time). I had a rice/Singapore noodle/omelette/curried prawn takeaway meal from Wok n' Roll. Then I'll catch the bus to Newcastle. I got with me The Eyes of the Dragon, which I'll read on the bus. I feel extremely thirsty so I might buy a can of Sunkist on the way to the bus stop. I only got 3 minutes left log-in time so when I go into town I'll buy a $10 voucher so i can log-in tonight.

I read a short story titled 'Fatal Age' by Nancy Holder. It's good because you don't know if she's going off her rocker. In the same book I read a vampire story by Tad Williams which was good but I didn't get the ending. I also liked 'Diamond Lake' by William F. Nolan.
