14. Big Ass Spider! (FTV)
Title says it all. A lonesome exterminator who takes his job very seriously goes to battle with a government-created mutant spider that keeps growing after each attack. Along the way he picks up a wisecracking Hispanic hospital security guard sidekick and tirelessly pursues a blonde hottie in a military uniform. The characterization and banter between the exterminator and his sidekick is very funny, moreso than the usual deliberately self-aware sci-fi/bad CGI shlock we've grown accustomed to. An unexpectedly effective Pixies cover of "Where is My Mind?" set to slow mo scenes of spider destruction kicks things off to set the demented yet fun tone of the movie. The scene where the spider runs amok in a sunny L.A. park was my favorite, with an acid-melted corpse dropped unceremoniously onto the picnic table of the perfect wholesome American family getting a big laugh. Available on Netflix streaming.

3 out of 5 stars.

14. Halloween VI: The Curse Of Michael Myers (1995)

There are a few things I like about this movie. It’s well made and has some good tense moments but ultimately, the confusing, ridiculous story does it in. From what I read, there were a ton of involuntary changes made to this movie and there is a much better “producers cut” out there. This was one of the last (if not the last) movies Donald Pleasence made and this movie stars a young Paul Rudd. 3/10

17.) Lizzie Borden Took An Ax (2014)
I watched this on Netflix and didn't realize it was a made-for-TV movie. It wasn't very good. Christina Ricci is one of my favorites-I think she's a great actress (plus, I like the hot, creepy chicks with crazy eyes! ;;D). She was the only redeeming aspect of this bad movie.

15. Jug Face (FTV)
Backwoods folk in the moonshine belt worship a presence called The Pit which demands regular blood sacrifice to protect them from bad fortune. The Pit's will is made known through the jug-face art of a feebleminded potter, so when an unwed pregnant girl realizes her number is up, she tries to change her fate. I'll give Jug Face some points for originality, although it contains echoes of Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery", and the strange culture of this Appalachian community is the perfect setting for a horror film. Unfortunately there really isn't much else to recommend in Jug Face--there are no characters to root for or empathize with, no real scares to be had, and nothing very interesting happens. We're left sitting to watch the inevitable play out and there's no pleasure in it. This film was more popular among film critics than it was the general audience (78% vs 34% on Rotten Tomatoes) and I can't say I'm surprised--it feels like it was made by outsiders who know what a good film looks like, but not how to actually make one.

2.5 out of 5 stars.
