Found an interesting story when browsing on the Internet. Maybe, some of you have already seen the picture or heard the story. But it seemed kind of interesting to me. And I really like the picture, it's one of the pictures I want to look at to see all the details (okay, now, when reading Rose Madder I get a little bit suspicious of pictures, I guess;-D). Here's the story: This 'haunted' painting has been terrifying people for decades

What do you think about it?

Hi Lina!

I guess I'm a big wuss. The article and the painting freaked me out.

Baby dolls, little kids and home intruders scare me. In the painting there's a baby doll and a evil looking little boy. And floating hands. Eeek!

Little boy climbing out of the painting? Thank you. I didn't want to sleep tonight anyway. :icon_eek:

Peace.

Lina, I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I don't find it to be a bad painting, but it *is* rather creepy.
I'm betting there are a number of tragic incidents that have occurred to people with whom the painting has a connection.
I also believe there are no coincidences.
Hope that helps with an opinion. :)

The picture freaks me out, too:0: At the same time, it intrigues me, I kind of like the picture... Sure, I don't believe in things like "the boy came out of the picture", but still there is something creepy about it.

By the way, I found there is another picture that was painted by the same painter a few years later, it is the continuation of the first one:

I think my career has skewered or outright totally redefined what I think is horror. I never planned on that happening, it's just that seeing some of the things I've seen and going some of the places we have to go to collect patients, my idea of creepy or disturbing usually has something to do with physical injuries.
The worst thing I ever saw was a badly eviscerated person. In fact I was surprised the patient was still alive when we got there.
