I do have pretty feet CYB! I do! They are my best feature. But, yes, I understand what you are saying. I feel that way about dirty feet.

As a teen, I had real issues with my feet. Especially my heels. They would get dry, really dry, and then these cracks would show up. The callous was so thick and the cracks so deep, you could slip a dime into them before hitting raw flesh. And then the cracks would start to peel in big, scaley pieces.
And what was my solution? Well, I had this Buck knife...it was really supersharp...and I'd give myself pedicures with it. To this day, I don't know how my mother managed to keep from swatting me crosseyed. I had such a gift for grossing her out. :biggrin2:

This sounds like what you have to do to trim goat's hooves. I hope your heels have improved over the years. They sound just like my oldest son's feet. He was a runner and man! he had the nastiest feet!

Mine aren't bad (except for my longass finger toes) but I do not wear flip flops except to go from the house to the pool. That is it. I don't care what designer made your flip flops or how much they cost, they look cheap.
Flip flops are for the beach, the pool and public showers. And they are especially NOT acceptable where food is served. Rant over.

I guess I have a foot fetish, then, because I love the shape of a woman's foot, slender and angular, pretty toes. Ok, I'll stop before I get the perv award. But even men can have attractive feet to some people. People said my father and I have model's feet (whatever that means). Dana Jean you can send me pics of your feet to my inbox...;)

yay! men can have very nice feet. I just don't think they think about them.

I don't have a foot fetish either, I just can't stand to see nasty feet.

I was at a summer funeral one time. Standing at the gravesite, everyone in very casual but nice cloths, it was hot outside. There was a younger woman there. She looked great. Her makeup was nice, her hair was well coiffed, her dress was so cute and then we get to the feet. Sandals with these things off of a Gorgon! I couldn't believe she took such care to look nice and got to her feet and what? just gave up?

As a general rule, I don't like feet that much. If you ever go to a water park, my tip is: keep your eyes gazing upward. I never saw so much nastiness on men's feet...truly made me nauseated. Doc Creed, you need to show these guys your feet so they know what to do.

80sFan, I so agree about the flip flops. I don't own a pair. The teachers at my school will often be all dressed up--fancy shirt, pretty skirt--and then wear a horrendous pair of flip flops to ruin the whole look.

In warm weather, I wear wedges because I like the look of them. They make me feel sexy! I probably have 20 pair. So I have to keep my feet looking good (even though I'm a runner, I take good care of my feet). Also, I tend to not want to ever 'match,' so my toenail polish on one foot is different than the other. Makes me happy. Dana Jean, I have never had a pedicure. I do get kind of grossed out with other people touching my feet.

Very nice feet. I appreciate their upkeep. I know your community does too.;;D

Pedicures are very nice. I basically do what she does in between pedicures and probably wouldn't even need the pedicure, but since it is free on Twofer Tuesdays, I just go for it.
