I love a Scotch that is old enough to order its own Scotch.

Unfortunately I've self-imposed a moratorium to only drink cheap Scotch until the NY Jets start playing better. The way things are going perhaps I should buy stock in Clan MacGregor. :(

Agreed, but once they get past about 16 years, I can't afford them. Even the Lagavulin 16 is out of reach for me now, unless it's on sale, and it's my personal fave.

But.... you can't go wrong with Macallan. Others that punch above their weight (at least where I buy, and according to my tastes): Balvenie Double Wood, Highland Park 12.

Clan MacGregor is fine, if you have some Diet Coke or something.

Not a fan of warm Sake, but chilled it’s a tad better. Still have a bottle brought back from Japan sitting in the back of my small bar fridge... about 15 years old by now. Can’t seem to get myself to throw it out, as the bottle looks so cool.

thats pretty cool. Is it still good or no?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the thread hijack, folks. To get back on topic, I'm not a fan of the barley. Can't even get past the smell of scotch, let alone drink it. :barf:

Lol good to know i'm not the only one. so you havent had it since then?
No. I'm not a fan of sake by itself, and I rarely drink mixed drinks these days anyway. The most I've drunk in a while is this past two weeks, with a few applejacks (bourbon and apple cider), and some dry Riesling twice. I just don't drink much now, and I r-e-a-l-l-y have a hard time with anything that resembles a hangover. Bleh.

Has anyone on here ever drank Sake lol i get wasted quick on that.
Had this in Montreal. I was enjoying it too much - my French friend translated something for me. (A group of people were sitting nearby - one said (in French) "What does sake taste like?" after looking over at me the answer was "apparently it tastes like water") - hmmmm - well it was very light tasting~!

I drink scotch. Have for years. Sampled several single-malts. Regularly buy the cheapest blended stuff there is. With booze my goal is the destination, not the trip to get there. In scotchium veritas!
