What kind of names do you like Riot87 ? I know your daughter's name - it's pretty and kind of classic, but not trendy. I like unusual names, but oddly, I gave my kids very classic names. I really like Boston (for a boy). Canon (I put this in Shasta's thread as well). I like Miles, Henry, I know a kids named Roth - I thought that was pretty cool. And recently at a football game, one of the boys announced was "Slayter" - interesting. Naming is fun, but difficult, it's so permanent.
Nah. I have a friend who doesn't love her first name, so she had it legally changed to a completely different one. Yes, it was a PITA, but if you really can't stand your given name, there are ways to combat it.
I love the name Benjamin. Of course, I'm biased

I don't like my first name either - funny thing is my parents must not have liked it because they call me by my middle name. My husband goes by his middle name as well, so just to keep it difficult for the entire family - we did the same to our kids. Everybody goes by their middle name.

I love the name Benjamin - it's my son's name. We call him Ben. I can see him being heroic - he's very selfless, which is just crazy for a teenager. He's gentle and kind and smart. Everything I associate with that name.

Another favorite of mine, though very common, is Michael. My best friend from middle school, high school, and I'm still quite fond of him. Also -he's an Archangel . Love the name Michael.
Thanks yea i like unusual names too. We are thinking of the name Dominic thats our top choice anyway.
