Well, I don't think it's black and white. Certainly people's personalities are what they are. I just meant that many (perhaps not most) people seem to sort of sleepwalk through life, do what's expected, without ever really asking themselves what they want and then DOING IT.I'm pretty sure that's not so. I think that nowadays most people die much older than that. I agree that a given human is capable of avoiding him/herself that long but what would be the motive to do so - for most people, I mean - after so many years? I can't imagine the specific types of individuals to which you are referring, especially being "most" people.
I would add, "There's a difference between kindness and niceness. Being nice means the other person is always first, no matter how you feel. Being kind means you recognize that other people are as real as you are, and you extend to them all the understanding and help you can without injuring yourself. Kindness is sustainable."You get screwed over being nice all the time. People take advantage of you.
Do not die with your music still in you.
You just know I'm dancin' now, huh Spidey?
I think I just invented a new dance... kind of a bastardised hip-hop/ballet thing... inspired by some of the videos I posted last night. Flashdance/footloose etc)Oh, that is just so purrr-fect.
This REALLY helped me-thank you!I would add, "There's a difference between kindness and niceness. Being nice means the other person is always first, no matter how you feel. I love that movie SO. MUCH."The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved, in return."
(I know.. I say this one often--I figure that if I say it often enough, then maybe one day I'll actually believe/and achieve it.)
