Sorry to hear that pegasus216, you are wonderful at keeping up with these threads, many people might have been forgotten if not for your checking the birthday section each day.
I understand if you can no longer do it though and want to say thank you, for every birthday thread you've started, it's been very much appreciated.

I might as well go ahead, and tell you all what is going on. I soon won't be coming back to the board because of this reason.
Yesterday morning, I woke up to being almost blind. I couldn't see my alarm clock, or read anything on my computer. I was hoping that maybe getting more sleep would fix it, but it didn't. Everything is a blur. I am using the magnifier that is on my computer, and it is helping some. I can't make out my TV screen much either. I just listen to it.
When I first woke up this morning, I could see my alarm clock. and I thought my eyes had gone back to the vision I did have. Which wasn't that great, but it was better than it is now.
Within 5 minutes, it went back to how it was yesterday.
Next week, Karen, and Sam, and the kids are going on their yearly trip to Pennsylvania for the religious retreat.
I can't see my insulin pen to know what dose to give myself, so Kaden is going to stay home with me.
Karen said they will be back that Sunday morning instead of that night.
I knew the day was coming, but I didn't think it would be this fast.

You have been and always will be held in prayers, pegasus216 . May the powers that be guide all in this situation. Can you seek additional medical counsel? Another professional, a different approach? Science moves forward each day-- there has to be some degree of hope. More and stronger prayer will be said. Only positives vibes are being sent your way.

Mike, I have diabetes, so when the eyesight is gone, it is gone.
I go to my doctor this Friday, so maybe she can suggest something.

Sorry to hear of this - please take care of yourself - I'll say a prayer for you pegasus216

I know in the past I was going to volunteer but to be honest I cannot do it now that I've switched jobs.

I will pop in and look at the birthdays but I think it would be better if a bunch of regular members just did the same;

We could end up with duplicate threads.

Sorry - I tried to edit but my iPad screen froze up on me :blush::a11:

I'm so sorry. I hope your doctor will be able to do something for you or put you in touch with organizations that help those who are visually impaired. There are software programs that make it possible to still be able to use a computer so that might be an option. (((Mary)))
