I'll volunteer to finish out the month of August Birthdays.

Maybe, to avoid duplicate threads we could have a sign up sheet where a member does them for a week or month until the end of this year. See where that goes?? The thread Survey Says worked well when it was done that way. Just a suggestion.
And honestly, even if we do end up with duplicates, it's easy enough to merge them into one.

I might as well go ahead, and tell you all what is going on. I soon won't be coming back to the board because of this reason.
Yesterday morning, I woke up to being almost blind. I couldn't see my alarm clock, or read anything on my computer. I was hoping that maybe getting more sleep would fix it, but it didn't. Everything is a blur. I am using the magnifier that is on my computer, and it is helping some. I can't make out my TV screen much either. I just listen to it.
When I first woke up this morning, I could see my alarm clock. and I thought my eyes had gone back to the vision I did have. Which wasn't that great, but it was better than it is now.
Within 5 minutes, it went back to how it was yesterday.
Next week, Karen, and Sam, and the kids are going on their yearly trip to Pennsylvania for the religious retreat.
I can't see my insulin pen to know what dose to give myself, so Kaden is going to stay home with me.
Karen said they will be back that Sunday morning instead of that night.
I knew the day was coming, but I didn't think it would be this fast.
Mary- I am so sorry to hear about this. You will be kept in my prayers! I admit that I took for granted that you would post the birthday threads and I apologize and offer my biggest 'Thank you!' for doing it as long as you did. Please know that you will be in many of our thoughts and prayers.

I think that's an excellent idea, Ms. Spidey! I will sign up for September and we'll see how it goes!

Mary- just know that all of us are thinking of you and wishing you well. Continued prayers!!

Mike, I have diabetes, so when the eyesight is gone, it is gone.
I go to my doctor this Friday, so maybe she can suggest something.
Praying that the Dr. can come up with a solution to help you. Our family went through something similar recently with my cousin who had lost her vision due to diabetes. The Dr. was able to determine that she had cataracts and was able to restore some of her vision with surgery. I hope that your case will be similar. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

...Mary, you know that we have had some differences in the last year-and even some cross words-but I have never stopped hoping for good health and happiness for you....I thank you for being there for all of us and I will be available to help with jargon and such-if there's something you don't quite understand from the Doctor....may this just be a temporary thing, and know you have my hopes and prayers still....

(((Mary))) how terrifying, I hope your care team will be able to come up with something to help you, I'm so sorry this is happening.
