All Christmas songs pretty much rub me the wrong way. They all get into your head and never leave. I used to love them as a kid but no more!

The one I've always loved and always will is I Believe In Father Christmas by Greg Lake. Was really sad to hear of his passing last Christmas.

I can live without the rest...

15 or 20 years ago, we had a new radio station go on the air that claimed they were only going to play Christmas music (it was summer when they first went on the air). For 2 weeks or more, all they did was play Christmas music. Their promos were, "All Christmas, all the time." It was a great gimmick because they got a ton of free publicity over it. The station was on the news frequently and the DJs kept a straight face when they told the news shows that they were committed to the Christmas format. Finally, one morning, they blasted AC/DC and put an end to the Christmas music and everybody knew where they were on the dial.

If I remember right, it was Highway To Hell (the complete opposite of Christmas music ;-D)

I remember that people kept tuning in to this station just to see if they were still playing Christmas music and they would listen for a while. Some of the promos were hilarious. Of course, nobody wanted to listen all day but many tuned in just to see how long this was going to go on. It was a brilliant gimmick for attracting attention. I remember at work, guys were playing this station. It was really weird in the middle of July to hear Christmas music coming from the radio at work. ;-D

I think most everyone thought it was a gimmick and expected it to end after day or two. But when they were still playing Christmas music after a couple of weeks, everyone started to wonder if they really were going to play Christmas music all the time.

Thought I'd get this one out of my system early....... What are the most bizarre or annoying songs of the season?

For me, It's Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer......I hate it. It makes my teeth hurt, and puts me in a foul mood when I hear it.

All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth

or

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer
