Bummed that there isn't anything near me--closest is about 10 miles away & it's grapes. I'll have them out the wazoo in a month or so, so no thanks We go to the public pond near us at the end of July and harvest wild raspberries--no one else takes them & I don't like them to go to waste. We also have a small plot in a community garden (more to support the property owners than anything) & I'm shocked how many people paid for plots & then did nothing with them or planted them & never came back. We forage the untended plots (with the blessing of the land owners). So far, we've gotten tons of strawberries, fresh lettuces, and some chard. This is not counting the stuff from our plot. Waste makes me crazy--lol.

Inspired by this, LilMan and I kept our eyes open for forage on our walk last night & found delicious bing cherries ion a tree behind an abandoned house, and pears that are almost ready at another.
