I used to crochet book worms for school fundraisers. Cute, but I wouldn't use them myself because I like a flat bookmark.

I usually wind up using those annoying subscription cards that fall out of magazines, or the perfumed inserts that fall out of magazines or ULTA catalogs. But I also am using a receipt right now, or, when the receipt goes missing, I use the jacket cover and wrap it over the page.
Can't spare a square...
Most generally, it is a receipt or sometimes dentyne paper. They make the book smell like cinnamon.
