Wasn't he just fantastic on "The Sopranos"?

I like British shows and have seen every episode of "Foyle's War" and "Doc Martin". I'm also a big Joss Whedon fan and have seen every episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Firefly", and "Doll House". Right now I'm making my way through "The X Files". I never saw any of these programs when they originally aired. I agree with you, champ 1966-- it's a lot more comfortable to watch them at your leisure.

Liked Boardwalk Empire, The walking Dead (even if it was a weak second season), Rome
Always liked Friends when it comes to comedy. But of course Fawlty Towers can't be beaten but there is so few episodes

How could I forget Boardwalk Empire? And Game of Thrones, I'm reading GoT and then watching the series. I've one more book to go. So many on my "to buy" list.. Walking Dead ...House of Cards to name just 2. Fawlty Towers is a classic. More recent British comedies I love are The League of Gentlemen and Phoenix Nights.

I too like my Brit shows. Foyle's War is excellent. I've been trying to catch up on some of them on Acorn TV as we don't have Sat or cable. Lately I've been watching Rumpole, Inspector Morse, Maigret. Plus Time Team etc...

People have told me to go on Netflix, but I treat my DVDs like I do books. I like them on display, not sat in a microchip.

It's so much cheaper though. Battlestar Galactica cost me $90 (on sale!), whereas Netflix is only $8 a month.

However, I will own dvd's of tv shows I really love like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, John Adams and West Wing.
