Okay, I leave it out. When I was a kid dad kept it cold as hell and hard as a rock. You had to hack off these half inch pats and try mashing em onto yer toast. Sucked on an Eggo. Screw that noise, bubba. I want my butter to melt instantly on a hot waffle, buncha little square pools of yummy heart congestion...

I keep it out, if it's particularly warm for while I'll put it in the fridge for a few hours if it starts to melt. I just hate making a sandwich and the butter rips the bread because it's too hard.
I heard this too.....and have used only real butter ever since.
