Okay, I leave it out. When I was a kid dad kept it cold as hell and hard as a rock. You had to hack off these half inch pats and try mashing em onto yer toast. Sucked on an Eggo. Screw that noise, bubba. I want my butter to melt instantly on a hot waffle, buncha little square pools of yummy heart congestion...

And here I sit, waffleless. Thanks.

This is about margarine, not really related to butter, but I read that margarine is one molecule from plastic and can be left out on the back porch and no animal will bother it because it's not food. Don't think think I will test that, but thought it was interesting.
I heard this too.....and have used only real butter ever since.
