Not as much hard as time-consuming. It started quite large and I had to slowly reduce it, letting it rest in between each.

) but canes were always so intimidating that I ended up just buying them.I could never wrap my head around how a picture (or phrase) ends up coming out in the end.The great thing about clay......it lasts forever and ever and doesn't harden!
