Christmas All Ready ???

So it's the 1st October today and I work in a supermarket and guess what? We put up Christmas stock today, chocolates, lollies etc. Not just a few shelves but a whole aisle. The bakery has had their Christmas stuff on show for a few weeks now.
Do you think it's too early?
Does your local supermarket do this as well ?

Yes, it's too early!!! We have the Thanksgiving holiday in between Halloween and Christmas so there's some focus on that but it does seem like the retailers get earlier and earlier every year with putting out the Christmas items and advertising.

I can understand that because people who make Christmas items to sell need to have the supplies in advance.

The scary part is that certain stores will start playing Christmas Carols during October. YIKES! just too early for me.

Wayyyy too early!! Ridicolously early!!! Its just the first of October, not November. November is such a dreary grey (at least here) month that then it doesn't hurt to think a little about Christmas. But now... Blaaahhh!!!!

I refuse to be rushed through the year anymore! I'm going to enjoy the season I'm actually living in and right now I'm savoring the first days of autumn. (I do understand why craft stores provide materials a few months ahead of time-- crafters need time to make holiday projects.)
