I liked an AirTran Airways radio commercial which featured a Scotsman with his sheep on board a jet. A fellow passenger unwittingly hurts the sheep's feelings and the Scotsman objects, saying "...they're made of flesh, and blood...and wool - just like you and me!".

I find all commercials irritating and tiresome. Although the majority of the TV channels in the UK are commercial stations, we fortunately still have the good old BBC which is funded by the compulsory yearly television license fee.
You need a valid TV Licence if you watch or record any TV as it's being broadcast. This includes the use of devices such as a computer, laptop, mobile phone or DVD/video recorder.
It costs £145.50 a year, but it means that at least on the BBC you can watch Dramas and Films without constant "messages from sponsors." Hurrah!:triumphant:

...the ones I dislike are countless-ED spots, adult undergarments, screaming commercials, friggin' lawyer commercials etc....well done and clever advertisements are a rare breed...this one has always been a favorite...
You just gave a list of the ones that I dislike as well. Other commercials that really bug me are those that talk to you like you have no intelligence, people who practically dance around smiling as they do their housework and those advertising the latest drug, not really telling you what the stuff does but always ends with "Ask your doctor if whatever is right for you".

My per peeve commercials are the weight loss ones which bold-faced claim things that are false, taking advantage of the fact that they don't have to answer to the Food and Drug Administration, and so don't have to be effective. Which they aren't. They take advantage of our weaknesses in terms of the degree of difficulty involved in making actually healthy health decisions for ourselves. They encourage the temptation to believe and invest in the idea of the quick fix. The people who make these commercials and products are thieves.

If I like 'em, I watch 'em, if I don't like 'em, I don't watch 'em, and if I get tired of them, I don't watch 'em. Nothing's sticking in my mind at the moment. Well... there was one banned Carl's Jr. breakfast sausage commercial that I can't say I liked, but it was sure memorable. I don't think I can even link it here without giving a mod apoplexy.

That reminds me of a hilarious story. When our family friend was visiting, we were watching TV and this commercial came on and after it was finished he said "These commercials sure are getting risque these days," then he quoted it: 'I have Sam in my pants...Sam can last a lo-o-ng time...' then the girl says 'I want Sam in my pants.' What the hell?"

I couldn't answer because I was cracking up laughing at him. At the look on his face.
