What's that got to do with it? After all, I do have administrative powers. ;) :)

Todays score is 51 cases and 31 of them in the Stockholm area. We had the first case at the end of january and she is still at the hospital. Symptom free but not released yet. Most of the cases have been infected in Italy while travelling in the northern parts. Also a bunch while visiting Iran.
I saw an article about it. Even if it isn't very deadly it is deadlier than a normal flu. At least sofar. 0,1 % to 0,5 % is the normal rate for a flu i have read. This thing is 1-3 %. So approximately 10 times deadlier than the normal flu. But the most important thing is not to panic. That could hurt us.

......nature always has ways to thin the herds, weed out the weak unfit and the all the idiots.
mankind is not the apex predator.
....i'm simply not worried about any of it.
Meh... There's too many people already in the world the way it is for the earth to sustain.
I KNOW!.....that's what I've been sayin'!

Wouldn't have had to shut the world down, could have just have locked China down, but they didn't because of all that money. Do you honestly think that they are spending money on research? And if so then what percentage? And I would say that having an incurable disease across the world is far more self defeating than locking down a few airports.
This more refined plan looks much better. DETAILS.....there is strength in the necessary DETALES! :)

They should just stop, the last few Bond movies have been terrible.

I still like them. Just wasn't crazy about Skyfall - the story makes ZERO sense from the very start. Still it was very highly rated in general. I suppose people liked that it shows a more personal side of Bond (his home and youth), yet it was all taken directly from Nolan's Batman series - there was so little originality.
Casino Royale is one of the best in the series though. And Quantum of Solace is a little short, but okay. Spectre I liked too - it felt like a return to the third and fourth Moore pictures, with a Jaws-like henchman.

We're at 3 confirmed cases today. Unfortunately one of those cases decided it would be a good idea to take a couple of domestic flights while she was symptomatic, but before testing. I think it's only a matter of time before it's all over the community here. I'm just worried for the immune-compromised and elderly. (it doesn't seem to be having the same effect on the very young as regular flu's do)

Well, I live in Western Washington. The so-called "hot spot."I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. Yes, most of these fatalities have been older folks with underlying conditions. Most. But at least one person died before they knew he tested positive. Who knows how many people he contacted? The biggest problem is the virus' ability to live for 2 weeks on surfaces. It's not spread via coughing and sneezing -- it's spread via contact with door handles, elevator buttons, ATMs, tables, counters, hand rails... And symptoms don't manifest for a couple of weeks after infection so someone can spend two weeks spreading it before developing symptoms. It's not enough to make me panic but I sure am worried.

My husband works in Seattle. He rides the ferry back and forth every day. He is being very careful. And we've stockpiled food and necessities in case we do need to hunker down for a couple of weeks. And if we don't, we've stockpiled for the inevitable... something.

No panic, just common sense. Wash your hands. Use Purell, don't touch your face (harder than you think). Just like with any flu. But this isn't a flu and has a much higher fatality rate. Stay safe out there!

Manifesting only good for you and hubby. Please be safe. I am in that "older" category-76. Not looking forward to being out and about any more than needed. Tad fearful of Spring Break=FL/ and tourist attractions.

Just be safe Tery . Keep us posted.
