Cujo is a fabulous book. I couldn't give two cents (I have a more scatological word in mind, but I thought I'd be nice--lol) for Mr. King's personal life. Cujo is a fully formed, well written story, with great dialogue, strong characters, and the most heartbreaking (and wholly believable) ending I've ever read to any book. It's your choice whether to read it, of course, but you're cheating yourself if you don't.
Yup. It was hard enough to read as a teen; now that I'm a parent, I don't think I could handle the end.I think Cujo shows what's so great about SK. Like you say, the characters and dialogue are great but I think the book shows just how gutsy SK can be. Not many (if any) popular authors would go where he went with that book. What seems like such a simple idea turns out to be a complex book. That being said, I'm more likely to re-read Pet Sematry but I think Cujo is the better book. Cujo just seems too tough an experience to go through again.
PS is so awesome! I need to re-read it!Pet semetary. The Only King book thats actually giving me bad dreams. Great book. So terryfying. Cujo is close second.
