Okay, we probably have ten threads for medical things, but I can't find them right now.

If I broke my hand or wrist, could I still use it without a lot of pain? I mean, it's been 2 weeks and I do have minor pain, can't lift anything heavy, but I have full range of motion. Probably just sprained, right?

...probably, any numbness or tingling though?....press your fingernails, is the blood refill brisk?...also, how did you injure it?...might be able to help more if I knew...

I was making a bed, I had my hand holding me up as I reached across the bed to throw the blanket up with the other hand -- I was up on my fingertips. My whole wrist just broke down, boom! bent backwards and down and my body weight went straight down on the wrist.

Blood refill good. A little numbness, tiny tiny bit sometimes -- not much and it isn't really consistent -- seems to depend on the position of my hand/wrist.

I think it is a sprain. I had my right arm broken in three places. I got pushed under a car. It looked like my hand was falling off lol. I do not think you could still be able to move it well if it was broken. You would have major pain and would not be able to stand it.

that's what I figured too.

Yikes on your injury! I hope it healed well for you with no residual problems.

I broke a piece off my left ulnar in my wrist as a teen, damn football injury, and had to have it immobilized for several weeks. There was sharp pain if I rotated my wrist, but not when flexing it up or down.Sounds like you should maybe use a brace for a while, and see good old Dr Bombay..

...if I'm picturing the incident correctly, it sounds as if you've hyper-flexed it...no residual damage should have been done...and even if there were a micro tear in the ligament or tendon, or a non-displaced tiny fracture...your body is telling you via pain response to not push it's limits and the wonderful machine that is the human form will go about it's repair work ..nothing special as far as treatment....warm moist heat and OTC analgesia....be mindful though, now that the joint has been injured, it will not be as strong as before and will be more prone to injury again....

Deej! Why are you just telling us about this now? Sounds like it is sprained. If it were broken you'd be in a lot of pain every time you tried to use it.
Oh, it was no biggie, it's just been sort of hurting and wondered why it wasn't better by now. Wondered if anyone here had the experience of walking around with a broken bone and not realizing it.
