So early reviews are in...
Currently holds a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the highest of ANY Stars Wars film (including New Hope and Empire Strikes Back). General consensus is universal acclaim.
This ridiculously high percentage will no doubt go down as more reviews come in and the hype-induced euphoria begins to dissipate (I saw Phantom Menace at 12:01 AM on opening night, and thought it was the greatest movie ever...then again, I was probably fourteen at the time and was swept up in the mass hysteria along with everyone else).
Still, seems promising.
