Eh, are you referring to the author of the other Joyland or perhaps, i shudder to think, me?=D

Not at all! The other writer. Sure, people should have been more careful before downloading, but treating her misgotten gains as a joke is like slapping them twice: once when they bought her "horribly written stream of consciousness novel" and again when she waves the money they wasted in their faces.

I took it that it was all a mistake (but not necessarily intentional) - do you think she should have refunded their money?

I think she should at least contact sK and/or his fans with an apology and an offer to compensate. I expect, however, since she's the type who chose instead to broadcast how she's spending sK's money, that scenario ain't. I wonder how her writing career will turn out now.

She is on tumbler under stephenkingmoney.tumbler.com
I just tried a search with the address in your post Neesy and got taken to something completely different. (uh-oh, hope I haven't been malwared.)

Does Marsha need to know about this do you think? Is she advertising her stuff under the guise of Stephen? (I didn't read the article..)

No Flake, she's not. Her book was written first, and happens to have the same title. People are downloading thinking it's King's. And even after reading it, some still think it is his.

I think what she's doing is funny. And since at least one review said it was Stephen's best work, I don't think she's stealing from anyone. Plus, they could get their money back if they quickly realized they bought the wrong book.
