What happened to the military?

Seems only the newly ordained of the weekend warrior National Guard are now in charge. Apparently our state-of-the-art and highly trained military has been beaten by a bunch of brainless, slow-moving, rotting cadavers that can be lured by loud sounds and barking dogs. I know we’ve been experiencing cutbacks to our military, but come on!

Tobias is in the house over on the hill cleaning his knife as it glints at the window - he is now a zombie hunter pro, having lost 15lb and gained a war boy attitude - looking like private pile as he stares out into the zombie free zone.

This show is the biggest over hyped load of lazy coat tail propaganda i have ever seen .

I am sooooo disappointed with it .

So disappointed.

It's lazy storytelling to
knee-jerk make the military (even of the NG variety) a bunch of jerks. That always irritates me (to be honest, it bothers me in Mr. King's books, as well). It takes much less energy in the long run to work WITH people than to treat them like dirt, and that's how military are trained. I've lived with and amongst military people for most of my life, and most are good, caring, pragmatic people who just want to do the right thing. There's no reason for the boss guy to be such an ass, except that it's a Hollywood standard: if it's military, it's wrong.

I feel that the military get a bad wrap. Yes, there are jerks in the military. However, often times in TWD and Fear the Walking Dead really take the jerk to the extreme.
