A herbalist told me this a while back (that is it good for memory). I like to grow rosemary in the garden - it's nice to pick it fresh.

When I was quite young (maybe 7 or 8 years old) I picked a yellow flower (roots and all) from a marshy swampy area on the side of the road.

I brought it back home and planted it in the corner of the back yard by a big post. I think it actually survived as the ride-on lawnmower could not touch it and it was shady enough that it did not get dried out. It's probably gone by now but it's surprising that flowers can be so adaptable, even when taken from their native areas.
