I remember when I was a kid (late 80s) there was a bar of toffee in a deep foil cup about 5 inches long or so, called gold bullion. It cost 10p and it was gorgeous, and probably responsible for many trips to the dentist for kids. Now though, it's disappearance has been so complete that I can't even find a picture of it on Google.

I remember that Smith's crisps (potato chips to non brits) started making plain, unflavoured crisps with a little blue sachet of salt. This was in the late 80s/early 90s as a retro throwback to the 50s/60s.
This reminded me of a delivery truck that used to drive around our neighborhood when I was a kid, delivering "Charles Chips." He was kind of like the milkman, but he sold chips. Weird.

Marathon bars in the UK were what snickers bars are now, they changed the name in the early 90s. That shaped chocolate bar has always been a curly wurly.

That is so cute! I just showed this picture to Andy and he got a big smile on his face and said "Of course I did" when I asked if he had ever had one.
