That
Is that the famous lobster roll?
Good question! Therein lies the crux of a great deal of New England food controversy: mayo versus butter.
In Maine, expect your lobster roll to be bathing in mayo (Hellman's, IMO), but the Connecticut lobster roll is simply drizzled in butter and squished into a toasty bun. It is a matter of personal preference. I like mayo, but I will NEVER say no to buttered lobster.

So is there a late night,or early morning,or midafternoon snack that you crave, but disgusts your family, your friends, probably even your dog? For me,and I only do this about three or four times a year,it is chef Boyardee ravioli..in the can.Placed in the fridge, allowed to chill, and then eaten with a spork late at night while watching tv..right out of the can,no dish, just straight out boyardeecaniballism, maybe a little parmesan cheese shaken into the can..any others? :biggrin2:

My husband is a chef but won't eat pasta - I couldn't believe that when I found out because I have a lot of really good pasta recipes.

One thing he WILL eat however is Heinz Spaghetti in a can - not right out of the can like you, but heated up and put in a bowl.

Okay - not all that disgusting but I find it weird

My old man used to crush up saltine crackers in a bowl then pour V8 tomato juice over them and chow down. My mom and I would just look on with horror...lol
Ha,I forgot about that,my dad used to do that except with milk and crackers,so I tried it and got hooked..for a while in like junior high school..haven't done that in a long while!

....my Blonde Bombshell grew up dirt poor and her favorite dish/comfort food is boiled macaroni with tomato juice over it.....filling and cheap.....
That's what my old man said about V8 and crackers, he ate a lot of that growing up because there wasn't much else sometimes. I think I'd have made a mud pie or something and chowed down first...lol
