The NFL will lose the appeal. Especially when the court and judge they lobbied for just blew them out of the water.

I was getting a "This whole thing is silly" vibe from this judge (Berman) right from the beginning and I think it's instructive that this is the court the league preferred (over old friend judge Doty out here in Minneapolis). Lost in Goodell's over-reach in authority is the disturbing lack of credible evidence that anything at all was "wrong" to begin with.

I hear some owners are grumbling about dropping the appeal, but Goodell's got a $150 million buyout, so I guess he's not going anywhere.

This is what comes of empire building, George.

The NFL out maneuvered the NFLPA when this was filed and got the case heard in the NFL's hand picked court. If they lost there, they probably should forget about the appeal.
