I'm not done with it yet. ;-D I guess you can borrow it for the week since The Dolphins had a bye. I'll probably need it back next week.

I washed the bag but it still smells like Jets. ;-D

I'm not sure I can handle the Jets stench.....
Maybe OoO will loan me one of his bags......since TheGiantsmightnotsuckafterall, he probably doesn't need as many.

Another ugly win - but again, a win - for the Broncos against a team they should've stuffed into a side cabinet. Over the first five games, Manning has thrown for six touchdowns and five interceptions. The Broncos can win with Manning, but he's not the one to win the Big One. If it hadn't been for jaw-dropping last-quarter defensive plays in each game, the 5-0 record might be reversed.

Manning has been a huge, wonderful asset for the Broncos and the community. But his football time is painfully coming to a close.

As a Patriots fan, I have a love-hate relationship with Peyton Manning. Without Peyton Manning, I don't think there is any Tom Brady. You cannot overstate Manning's abilities or his accomplishments, but the reality is that he's done. Manning's game has always been putting the ball exactly where it is supposed to be (whether the receiver is there yet or not), and his arm just won't do it anymore.

Also (and this will sound kind of stupid), I think it was Bill Parcells who said "You are what your record says you are," but these Broncos don't scare me much for an undefeated team. Of course, if they can keep doing it with just that defense -- which is very good -- they could ride the only true home-field advantage in the NFL into the Super Bowl (if somebody else knocks off the Pats).

So far, in the AFC, I think the Pats and Bengals are looking the best and in the NFC, the Pack and Cardinals are looking the best.

Mercury Morris is not going to be happy when the 18-0 Packers meet the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl.

In all honesty though, the Bengals got a little help. That overtime field goal likely experienced a 1/3-in deflection to the right, caused by Earth’s Rotation. :)

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Earth's rotation helped Bengals win - Story
The help they received was me giving up and walking away, even before the fourth quarter, but hey now, in all fairness to me, after almost twenty of watching Bengal implosions, they got me trained like a Pavlov dog.
BUT NOW I'm stuck like glue til the last whistle:thumbs_up:!!!
o_Oh crap what have I done, now they're surely doomed:facepalm_smiley:

The Giants play the Patriots this year. So I don't see the Patriots going undefeated. :D

That's the spirit. A loss to the Giants, two losses to the Jets, and a loss to the Dolphins just for good measure would be even better........................................ and then I land back on earth.

Well . . . I'll say this: If the blue team from New Jersey (which won't have to be very good to "win" the NFC East) does make a run in the playoffs, that's the last team I want to see in the Super Bowl.

For some reason the football gods seem to smile on the Jints.

Can't figure out why.

Unless it's so Eli can lord at least one thing over his more talented brother.

"I hear the real reason Tom Brady didn't want to turn over his phone during the Deflategate scandal was because he didn't want everyone to know that Eli Manning had his number."

That was a good one I heard earlier today.

Pretty fair assessment. It worries me that if the backup (the physically impressive Brock Osweiler) isn't getting more playing time in the face of Manning's inability to win with his offense (does anything remember a mere two years ago when the Broncs were running up 30, 40, 50 points a game?), the quarterbacking skills must be really suspect.

I'm "Liking" this for its humor quotient. ;) Of course, if you're right, then good on you, and the joke's on me. Wouldn't be the first time.

This might surprise you, but over on the Boston Globe forum, where I talk with Patriots fans even more delusional than I, the Osweiller speculation is already occurring. I think Manning's arm would have to actually fall off for him to be benched when he's so close to breaking the all-time yardage record, but if that were to happen, it would tell you unequivocally that no one is above the team. That said, how do you think Drew Brees would look in orange next year?

I'm quite certain both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady can make the Super Bowl because Eli is a nice guy and he'll give them tickets. :D

Good one!

Beloved DIL is diehard Giants fan. I'll root for them nominally, as the occasion warrants. Generally, though, let's realize that the Heartland and Great Plains tend to dismiss the Coasts in retaliation for the Coasts' general dismissiveness of us - and the deeper you get to Land of the Boroughs, the greater the dismissiveness is. (Until they move out here.)
