Will they continue with Brock Osweiler? With Maning’s retirement, will the Bronco’s now be playing a game of quarterback chicken? Will they pay Brock what he think he’s worth? They can’t slap a franchise tag on him because that was given to linebacker Von Miller. And if Osweiler goes elsewhere what is available on the free agent market to them? Robert Griffen III and other young under performers, and a bunch of old guys who would have to learn a whole new system at the end of their careers.
I thought I saw it scrolling during Peyton's press conference yesterday that the Broncos had offered Osweiler a 3 year, $45 million contract, but not sure if that is official. A Denver tv station is reporting that, but other, more recently posted stories are mentioning the Texans as being very interested as well.

I hope they keep him.

The NY Jets lost their RB Chris Ivory to free agency, and will likely lose Bilal Powell the backup RB, and Damon Harrison, DT. Plus reports are that QB Ryan Fitzpatrick might not resign. So the Jets will have no running backs, they don’t utilize their TE’s, and they may have Geno Smith missing throws to two great receivers. There are three things guaranteed in life. Death, Taxes, and the Jets season going down the crapper.

I just read that it looks like the Broncos are losing Brock to The Texans

and the Dolphins are losing RB Lamar Miller to The Texans (I hate to see this)
:facepalm_smiley: :facepalm_smiley:

I read they are going to try to get Colin Kaepernick. I would be good with that. But please, no RG III. I think if he had been handled better in Washington, he might be ok. But he wasn't...and he is awful injury prone.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Broncos QB situation. John Elway is the one picking the QB and I'm sure he'll find the best one available. I think not signing Brock says something about how John felt about him. The Broncos could have matched that offer if they had wanted to. They may have liked Brock but not thought he was worth the risk of a big offer. I think Kaepernick could be great again. He looked great when Harbaugh was in San Fran. I think he could look great again with the Broncos and John Elway.

I hear Tebow's still available. :)

And for some reason I still think Manziel will end up in Dallas.

Manziel isn't going anywhere for a while (I don't think). I read that if the Browns can hold on to him for a while before they are forced to release him and he gets suspended by the league, they will be able to recover some of his signing bonus money. He has to still be on The Browns when he gets suspended for that to work. The Browns have a couple of months before they have any of his salary guarantees kick in, so they have a little time.

I like Kaepernick, I think he would be a good fit. Especially with the way Kubiak wants to push the run game. But he isn't really a free agent, is he? He just wants to be released from his contract with the 49'ers. So I am worried a little, about that. It might not be very easy to get him.
