......btw, I apologize now to everyone who heard the string of profanity I screamed at the TV after that call.

Only now - on Monday morning - have I caught my breath;
Saturday the Patriots near scared me half to death.
Twice they trailed by 14 points and twice they battled back.
Once or twice I may have let my calm composure crack.

Maybe more than once or twice... I have been known to yell
When it looks as if the football game has gone to hell.
I don't worry that we'll lose, despite the uphill slope;
Belichick and Brady mean that there is always hope.

Don't know why I lose my mind; I know it's just a game
And I know it's impolite to call the ref a name.
Wish I had more self-restraint but, sadly, I do not.
Don't know how much more that I can take. My nerves are shot.

I think I have come up with a solution for the Washington Redskins name controversy. The team should change their logo to a peanut (or better yet, to Mr. Peanut) and then keep the name Redskins. That way, they are named after a peanut. I thought of this while I was in the grocery store. ;-D

and Dan Snyder is kinda nutty, so that fits too.

Can't believe Seattle just pulled out that game. I don't think I've ever seen a QB throw 4 INTs in a game and still win it.

Rex Grossman did that in 2006 against the Arizona Cardinals in a game where the Bears were down 20-0. The final score ended up being 24-23 with the Bears coming out ahead and the coach of the Cardinals having a super epic meltdown after the game. However, none of Chicago's touchdowns were scored on offense.
