I will just say, moderating this board during full moons really is riding the crazy train. There is a higher incidence of misunderstandings, grumpiness, moodiness, anger, altercations. It is interesting to observe.

There is absolutely something to the full moon phenomenon Dana. At my job, around the full moon, you can count on fights that normally involve fists turning into knife fights, knife fights escalating into gun play, etc. We respond to more domestic calls, shots fired, crimes against persons in general during the full moon phase of the month. At any conference or training I've been to with other analysts, they all say the same thing about their respective agencies. It seems almost like something primal. I don't know what the cause is, but stats don't lie, it's weird.

Deej, I feel for you. I experienced crazy stuff every month during the full moon when I worked in retail. I swear some of the customers had weekend passes from the local mental hospital. The certifiable ones always seemed to crawl out of the woodwork and make it a point to pay a visit to the store on the evening of the full moon.

Police blotters are the best proof that crime rates skyrocket during a full moon. It's especially true for crimes of passion, and I don't mean the bed kind of passion.

I love the moon. Whether full, waxing, or waning. A friend of mine used to work in a hospital and he said that on full moons the emergency room would always be buzzing. It didn't matter what day of the week, just that it was full. Some people believe the full moon makes your brain lighter, just as it pulls up the tides. I think they are a bunch of bloody lunatics!
