I live out in the country. I’ve not had a trick-or-treater since I moved in. But I still pull out that original 12-year old bag of Candy Cigarettes every Halloween... just in case. :)

You know, it's funny. When I watch television, it's usually some kind of nostalgia TV. I use it more for company than because I'm interested in what's on, and I'm still always amazed at the smoking thing. There's even a station called Decades that shows old-time advertisements. Of course, they can't show cigarette ads, but I'm old enough to remember the Marlboro Man and "Should a gentleman offer a Tipparillo to a lady? And should a lady accept?"

All of that is well and good, but if I could go back in time I would certainly like to talk to the people who thought candy cigarettes were a good idea.

Geez!

Aw man, I loved those candy cigarettes. Have never even held a real one to my lips, but thought I was cool 'smoking' that candy.

We all did.

That was the whole point.
They are still available. My daughter needed them for a project in health class the following day, and told me at 7:30 pm. At the 6th stop we finally found them at an Exxon station/mini mart. I got one pack for her and five for me because it was decades since I've had them and remember really enjoying them as a kid. And I found out I could still sharpen them to a lethal point. :)

And if you blew threw them, you would get this "puff" of smoke(sugar dust)
