I remember getting dressed up early to go out, because we knew who made homemade apple taffys, and popcorn balls and to get it before it was gone.

...she said "blow".....nyuk, nyuk, nyuk,,,,Ah - my girl loves tootsie rolls. I'll hand out some kind of chocolate, or maybe Blow Pops. I love Blow Pops!
I go to Costco and buy the bag that has the most crap in it I like. And then I turn the lights off early.
That's sad, girl! Yes, break the habit. I love seeing the little kids in their costumes. I think king family fan had the scariest clown I've ever seen in my life a couple years ago. Do you still have that picture Linda? I'd love to be scared all over again.
Mary jane? Did you live in Colorado?I have been living rural. No kids. But always bought some just in case.
But before, when had the house, lordy - people would drive the kids to neighborhood. Stop at every drive way. We had to work for our candy.
I would always get stuck with the leftover MaryJanes. cause nobody likes em.
...I am planning an homage to Charlie Brown this year....everybody gets a rock.....
Mary jane? Did you live in Colorado?
Sounds like our Halloween kisses:No, but a good maryjane in the wrapper will last a good 5 years. You will have to eat some paper trying to free it, but it all works out.
I'd gladly have you, trailing spawn and allI'm coming to your place...
Do you make them do a something for their treat? My friend in Naas says that's the norm there, and I know the little Irishman who lived down the street from my mom surprised my kids by telling them they had to do a trick for their treat--lol.We get a good few. I love the little ones. I get mini bags of jellies and lollypops. Whats left doesn't las long.
I don't usually have many trick or treaters. Last year, I had one and two years before that, I had three.
I always buy a few full sized candy bars to give out, and end up eating them while watching scary movies.
...and all this time, I thought it was the cauldron out front.Try taking down the Young Children Will Be Eaten sign at the foot of your driveway and you might get a few more....

I don't, but some of the neighbours do. I remember when my son was young enough for trick or treat he used to carry a small box of mini bangers. You throw them on the ground and you get a small bang in case he was asked for a trick.Do you make them do a something for their treat?
