Hubby started PT today. They are letting him move his toes abit and no word yet as to how long before he can put any weight on his leg.

Yes, hubby must be patient. He needn't worry about becoming addicted to pain meds as many people assume they might. The meds are probably necessary for his progress right now.
PT is progress!! Such good news. It may be hard and sometimes frustrating work (when there is frustration is where you come in with lots of cheer) but one day, one session at a time, he will recover. Many prayers for you both on your journey.
It's hard to be patient but critical as he could undo all the healing by putting weight on too soon. That's what kept me "honest" after my foot surgeries.
