Yes, I was gonna say, lots people have diverticulitis, and while it has a variety of available levels of seriousness, none of them are life-threatening. Continued prayers.
Other than maybe sepsis if something gets caught in one of the 'pockets'...? I'm sure Patrick will be watching her like a hawk though... I'm so pleased with the news so far.

The biggest issue with Pat's mama is that she must be on blood thinners. Take into the factor of age, the doctors have said the bleeding can occur at anytime. Her first bleed was very close to life-threatening considering she needed 6 pints of blood, plus platelets. Dosage and type of blood thinner will be the main consideration now. Pat watches her like a hawk. This is one of the main reason he is unable to be on the MB as much as he wold like. He feels the kindness and caring of this MB. Mama considers all of us her "other family".

Just got back from the doc with hubby, he has tendonitis in his hand. They put him in a brace and gave him prednisone for inflammation. Was going to put him on a high dose of Motrin until she found out about his overuse of ibuprofen...we'll see if her warning about it sinks in more than my nagging. ;;D

Anyway, pretty minor compared to what other members are facing but his hands are his living so would like to ask for prayers for healing. (And that he listens, stubborn man that he is!!)

Keeping PITH and Mama, JR's mom, JR and Ags, Marsha and friend, and Dave in my prayers! All in need or not.

Good luck to both of you and hope it works for his tendonitis. Prednisone can make some people cranky--hope it doesn't affect him that way.

o_O Oh, that's perfect. Thanks for the warning! Only one pill a day for 7 days so hopefully not! He is already a little cranky about the brace.
You can borrow my well-used of late mantra....it's the pain and/or meds talking, not him....it's the pain and/or meds..... ;-D When that doesn't help, just tell him he needs to get an attitude adjustment as he doesn't need to take out his cranky pants attitude on everybody else even if he is in pain and on meds. That actually seemed to have a little more positive response at Chez Ms. Mod...or maybe it was fluffing up the pillows and placing a blanket on the couch.

I know this is utterly trifling compared to what others are going through but please send positive vibes my way for tonight. My drumming band are supporting an amazing blues band in Brighton tonight, it's our first proper gig, in a proper music venue. I'm nervous as hell and terrified of fluffing up. I constantly doubt myself and think I'm not good enough. It seems awfully indulgent posting this here, but I really would appreciate some positive vibes at around 8.30 this evening (UK time). :nrvs:
