How very stressful this must have been, I'm sorry you guys went through all of that... but also hugely relieved to hear this outcome! Good luck with the move, I hope it will go smoothly for you both, let us know how it's going as soon as you can. xox
Thanks, Flake. I was too stressed out to fill you in, but I feel so much better now about everything. Everything happens for a reason I always say and this new job of hubby's makes it possible for me not to have to work. I may try something part time in a while, but for now I'm just going to concentrate on me and my hubby.

Well it's been an eventful few weeks, and so stressful. Our building was sold to a new owner, and they are bringing their own staff, so hubby and I not only lost our jobs but our apartment as well. It was part of our compensation package. We were supposed to vacate on the 17th of June, after being given our notice on the 10th. We were able to extend our stay until this weekend.

Now the good news! Hubby started a new job today, and his salary is more than both of us were getting even including the apartment. We managed to find an apartment to move into this weekend which includes our utilities at a very reasonable rent per month. Tomorrow I have to try and find someone to move us on Sunday. Our new place is smaller, but will be fine for just the two of us. They also accept pets, so that is great. Things have worked out well. I will most likely be without internet access after Sunday night for a day or two but then I'll be back. Tomorrow is going to be busy, so I may not be here much.

Excellent news, Sharon! So glad it turned out for the better for you both.

Oh, that is stressful! That happened to me once, when my oldest was a baby and I was a single mommy. No warning from the landlord, just sorry, need the house for my kids. Get out. I ended up having to move back home for a while, couldn't find a place immediately. I am glad it has all worked out!

oh boy! A lady of leisure - just think of how much time you will have to do things you enjoy - do you bake? I would be making cheese biscuits every day to serve with supper - :m_pan:
Sounds like everything has turned out well for you both :bee:
