Fingers crossed for you, my friend. Hope everything turns out ok.
I've said a little prayer to St. Anthony for you.
There is a girl on here from Newfoundland staropeace - she is always praying to St. Tony too! (your prayers are much appreciated, Paddy!)

I hope everything works out in your favour Neese. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

My best wishes aren't helpful, but they're all I got to offer, and you have all of them. Hoping hard that it all works out for you.

Been a victim of the dreaded RIF (reduction in force)myself so I can understand how you’re feeling.

I hope things work out for you.

Good luck, Neesy! Just been through that hell meself.......

Neesy - you'll be in my prayers today.

Neesy- you know you're in my prayers and good thoughts!!

Wow - you guys are so nice - with all these prayers and good thoughts, it just has to turn out to be a positive thing :encouragement::cheerful:

Aw, girl, you're in my thoughts. Half time would be good, eh? I'm with ya on that.
So you'll know tomorrow - that's good. The waiting is hard. (There's a Tom Petty song for the all the things!)
We've been through it with the Ogre's job. As it turned out, it was the best thing ever for his career. His department got outsourced. Sometimes the worst things end up being the best things.

Thanks Holly - long time, no see

How's your job going - are things going well at the Parish?

I know, I'm ever hoping to find a balance.
We have a new priest - as do almost all the parishes in our Diocese. New Bishop, lots of changes. We like our new guy - he's a keeper. He's very different from our previous priest, but he's pretty awesome in his own special way. He's got a wicked sense of humor and I LOVE that. I feel like I need to be home more. Who would have ever thought teens need more parenting than toddlers, but yes, it's so - at least in my house. I'm hoping for an early retirement - maybe in 4 years even.
I can't wait to hear how it goes for you tomorrow!

Hi Neesy, I hope things work out well in the end. Pallister is about the worst thing to hit this province in years (the NDP may have stumbled a bit here and there but the party is always for the people and not just the profit). I notice the news joints are spewing a story saying wait times have improved and there hasn't even been enough time to get the correct numbers and analyze them! Social engineering at its worst! If you need it, I'm always good for twenty bucks or so. ;;D All the best, mal

Awww - you're good - don't think I'll be hitting up my friends for small loans just yet.

I will let everyone know what the outcome of all this malarkey is, just as soon as someone clues me in on Monday :m_scary::m_sneak:

Hope it all works out for you, sending my prayers from New Zealand.

Thanks - that's a long way off - it's already Monday there!

I was originally supposed to go in tomorrow (Monday) at 8:30 a.m. but they changed it to 2 p.m.

So I'm taking that as a good omen - I don't have to get up really early and fight the rush hour traffic to get in on time!

Fingers crossed for you, Neesy.
I've been on both sides of this. One time I (figuratively) cut a couple of throats to save myself (because I absolutely couldn't afford to be laid off), another time I hopped on my sword (to save the job of a newly-single mom who needed the wage and was happier there than I could ever be, even though I was the one management wanted to retain).
Then of course there was the time I had no choice and no chance because I was on the bottom rung and had been the most recent hire. Yeah, that was fun, getting canned shortly before my 18th birthday.
