Oh, I am perfectly safe. We are only getting lovely rains. That is why I am saying that, no matter how much I enjoy them, I would rather we stopped getting them if having them means there is so much destruction elsewhere.

It's probably going to be a while. I don't think they have much if any power on the island yet and judging from the amount of downed lines I saw on TV, it will be a slow process restoring power.

Yes, it has been a very long time. I am very interested in hearing from him. Hopefully he is journaling about this tragedy -- but he might be too busy saving his family and home and helping others.
