Nomik, I.... um.... this is coincidental? I must admit I'm sort of lost here. Maybe it's just I not understanding your story or the connection it has with Holly's post?

I'm trying to figure it out. Was it maybe because I said I'm slightly odd? That was an odd story. Dreamlike. To quote Scott "driving in fog".

Y'all have fun. Some day I will join up. My fear is that work is sometimes unpredictable and I'd be totally stressed trying to get my part done and balance everything else. I'd hold everyone else up.

No worries, Nomik. Except I'm a little worried about you. Take good care of yourself, doll.
Be cool, Holly. If life interferes so you cant write just say so and it will pass to the next in line. Noone is going to think less of you or that you are holding them up. This is a fun thing and i really would like if you decide to join. All the best to you!!! =D=D

I already wrote the fifth part ahead of time. I made it generic enough so that it should fit in with anything, provided we do a spiders, moon landing, illuminati related tale.
I've started a story with some great background and a creepy anecdote, leading to a setting inspired by Rob Zombie and Lep Lady. The characters are about to evolve, and they will not all survive. :hammer:

Hi Kurben, no worries Holly, that kind of comment I take with a grain of salt. I just chalk it up to a misunderstanding and find humor in it. I'm enjoying this.:smiley_simmons:

Okay guys. I think Mal was kidding. Nomik, you can't possibly write your part of the story because we have no idea what it is about, and it must stay in line with what the others before you have written. The ONLY person who should be writing anything right now is our first writer who will be revealed soon.

Then, when it is your turn, you see what the people ahead of you did, and you keep the story cohesive.

How many years has the Halloween Story been going on now, Dana?

As many as I have been here. It's a treat!

It's fine, I was just letting you know that I was writing. It's something generic for me to keep on the back burner to integrate into my turn! I understood the directions but I enjoy writing. Let me know when it is my turn.

Nomik -- It is wonderful that you enjoy writing so much. However, in reality, there is no generic when it comes to the SKMB Halloween Story. Think chain, each person adds a link. If each writer is to stay in line with what the others have written before them, one can not have made a generic link and just throw it into the story. The story has to flow- be cohesive. A copper linked chain isn't cohesive if a lead link is thrown into it.
I would suggest you wait until the story begins, see what slot you have as a writer, feel the flow of the story and be spontaneous with your part. I think you enjoy it so much more.
