...in my heart, I still celebrate the ideals that this country was founded upon, but consciously I struggle with what it has become on the world stage...our people are still mostly good, though we are viewed as colossal fools by many on the global platform....
Even though I have lived in Ireland for 27 years in my heart I will always be American. I miss a proper 4th more than I miss anything else. I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.

We got a lotta towns shutting their displays down because of the heat, dry, and fire danger.
Man, I can't imagine what a pogo experience the fireworks industry is.

I hope everyone will have a great 4th. I am going to be working- we're usually closed but they offered double time and a half if you want to work so I signed up for it as I have some bills that need paying off. I'm not one for crowds or explosions anyway so it's a perfect fit.
