To all the moms on their special day. (Birth moms, adopted mom, dads who serve as moms, moms who have passed on to the clearing) May the love you give/gave come back to you tenfold.

Share you thoughts about your mom..............

Why do I have to get my wife something on Mother's Day? She's not my mother. I never get anything from her on Father's Day... except some blathering about every day is father's day. :umm:
Here's the deal. I hate that these days are so commercial as it is. You shouldn't have to get her something, but you should want to do something special for the mother of your wonderful daughters. However, if she never gets you anything, then if it were me, I probably wouldn't want to get her anything either.

Oh I'll get her something. (I already got her flowers, but she picked them out because she knows I would get the wrong kind.) I can then hold it over her head that I get her something and she get's me nothing. You'd think something like that would get me a hand up for a period of time. But apparently not. :)

I don't want to derail this thread before it even leaves the station but does anyone remember that scene in The Stand where Lloyd is
in jail and down the cell block hall he keeps hearing some guy yell, "MOTHER! MOOOOOTHER!" It's always funny, to me. Just me? Mmk.
:)

Happy Mother's Day, ladies. Hope there's enough to go around.

We don't get together. Our tradition for Mother's Day, as set out by Grandma when our kids started having babies, is for the moms in the family to do anything they want on their own time. The same is true for Father's Day. (Well, except that it applies to the dads.)

My own mother is long gone. I'll get Grandma something, even if it's just a card and flowers.

....My Mom is 87 and damned near impossible to get anything for, so I will probably drop by and tell her I love her....she's not the demonstrative sort, so that might make her day....and Tracy?, I got her a little something-and hope the kids come through.....

little bastid! I popped your big azz head out of my lady parts, advocate for your rights, baby sit other children so you have no college debt to repay and you can't buy me a bag of gummy bears?

We'll see how well that plays when I go insane in the membrane at 2 in the morning.
