Happy Thanksgiving! Ummm, shouldn't this be in Hot Topics? Reminded of the button on the turkey that pops up when done. I wonder how that works? Well probably some sort of thingie. That's my guess. You got your holder thingie, melts or otherwise disappears, vaporizes maybe after whatever. But then you'd need a different one for different weight birds. Do you trust the button? Button's up! honey! I think we can eat now. Already? S'posed to be another thirty minutes.
Reminded, too, of these "turkeys" we made in the third grade. Mrs. Burge, a true gunslinger her, she was missing two fingers from one hand, the result of a sewing machine accident in a big factory somewhere, long gone now, but she asks us to bring in a potato. Ask your parents for a potato and bring that in Monday. We stuck colorful toothpicks in the back end for tail feathers, I recall probably toothpicks for legs. Maybe the head was a toothpick, too. Wonder what ever happened to that potato? Wouldn't it be divine if that potato was still around, tail feathers faded, skin all shriveled up. I bet there's a pic online.
