In a dream world, I've always thought Edward Norton would have made an outstanding Eddie Dean, but he's far too old to play the character now. I think Dennis Quaid has the right look for Roland, but he's getting up there too.

I like Viggo Mortenson as Roland, but Anson Mount is perfectly acceptable! They should hire you as the casting director ASAP and get this thing on the air!
But I'm sort of with not_nadine here ... putting this on screen would cheapen it. No one would ever be able to do it justice. Stepping in it, here, I'm sure, but even SK himself being involved with a project based on his work is no guarantee it's going to be any good. (ahem, Under the Dome).
I would not watch it cause I am afraid the film version would stick in my head. Do not watch tv or movies anyway. I really picture Roland as a young Clint Eastwood.
Once again I go with Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a possible Roland ...especially since he's been Negan on TWD.
....I wish it were so old friend, but no-I just found the image.....Wow, Scott... do you have that shirt yourself? That's a 'wunna!' for sure....
And he made a spot-on, perfect Comedian in The Watchmen. But, as Roland? Dunno about that.
