Hello to all! Since the mid 60's my folks would take us on vacation to Great Pond in the Belgrade lakes near Waterville Maine. In so many of Stephen's stories there is a dirt road under the pines with a lake visible in the distance, thank you, it always takes me back. Unfortunately my parents sold the cottage in the late 90s and I haven't been back since. On one of my last trips to Maine, my wife and I took a road trip to Bangor. Beautiful place, but I can imagine the winter is brutal. We checked out Stephens house, pretty cool, but the thing that was most memorable was this radio station that was playing unbelievably good music. We both said "why the hell can't other stations play music like this???" Needless to say the radio was fixed for the remainder of our stay. Only recently have I found that you can stream WKIT on your computer and even better stream it on a phone app that can be plugged into the car stereo! Now I listen at home at work and in the car! I love this station! I push it on my friends and on Facebook and I'm sure the church wishes I would share "the good word" as much as I share WKIT. If you haven't listened, you need to. And now I have a hankerin' for a sausage biscuit at the Orono cafe and bait shop!

Welcome to SKMB Karl Saal

You bet WKIT is pretty good - I like to listen to it as well while on the board at times. I am getting older now so every now and then I will turn it off, but when they play some of my favourite music I am loving it, too!
