Hi,

I've been a member for a while now but never posted anything, so i guess it's about time i introduce myself.

I'm Mark and i live in the Netherlands. I've been a SK fan for most of my life, I think i've read my first King book when i was thirteen or fourteen.
I have three kids and ik hope one day they'll start reading my collection. That might take a while though, since everything's in English but i'm slowly buying Dutch editions to be prepared for the big day my oldest son wants to read one, wich is probably never, by now i would have expected them to at least have a decent taste in music:)

I work in a library so that's the perfect place to convince other people to start reading Stephen King. A lot harder than you might think though, most people, even the most avid reader, associates King with all the horrible movies his books have been turned into...

Two years ago I started re-reading his entire oevre, i'm currentley reading Blaze. It's great to see all the connections en easter eggs, somehow i missed most of it reading it the moment they came out....

Okay, finally started posting :)

Welcome MarkS73! Are you reading the entire set in order of publication? I've been re-reading as well but have been hopping around all over the place. I have never re-read books until Stephen King. His books are very re-readable and just as exciting the second time around. All the best, mal.

Yep, order of publication. There were quite a few i had never read, especially King's later books. The rest i read in the 80's and 90's so they were relatively new to me when i read them again. I've been on this for over two years now, with a few books from other writers interrupting every now and again. Pretty cool, all the easter eggs, recurring characters, etc. i missed all that the first time around. I also never read the Dark Tower books for some reason, read all those last year. I was planning to also read them in order of publication but they were just too good. I really don't understand how readers who read them at the time they were published were able to wait for so many years untill the next part in the series came out. Must have been so frustrating:)
