Instead of using these fabric softener sheets in your dryer, buy the liquid kind and pour it into a covered container of jar. Throw in small sponges and when you are doing laundry grab one of them and throw it in with your clothes. It is cheaper.

Continuing with the trash theme... I took a length of 1" elastic (length depends on size of trash container - measure for best fit), closed it with a safety pin and use it around the top of the trash can to hold the bag.
Buttering a pan for baking? Use a sandwich bag as a "glove." Put it over your hand, grab a bit of butter, grease the pan then pull the bag inside out. Viola! Buttered pan, clean hand.
Another thing I use a sandwich bag for -- you need a heavier one for this -- is for making the filling for deviled eggs. Put the yolks in the bag, add mayo, mustard, a pinch of Kosher salt and pepper to taste. Close the bag (ziplock is essential), expressing all the air. Now massage the bag to mix ingredients. Once you have a perfect mixture, cut off one corner of the bag and use to pipe the filling into the waiting halves.
And we use this old trick way too often. This is an oldie, but very helpful if you frequently lose power or evacuate for storms. Freeze a small cup of water, and after it's frozen place a coin on top, then stick it back in your freezer. When you return, if the coin is still on top, you'll know that you didn't lose power long enough for things in the freezer to defrost and then refreeze. If the coin is at the bottom - throw everything out!
I have about 2 pairs of cute socks, and the rest are plain white or black. My feet ain't fancy And I never fold or match socks; all socks are loose in the drawer and a match is always guaranteed to be within an inches reach. My sock drawer is sloppy but my closet is hyper-organized; clothes are hung by season (fall and winter tops on the right, spring and summer tops on the back wall) and work clothes, jeans, slacks etc. are organized in the vanity on the left wall. Also, the shirts are organized by color. I'm a weird one...
The sandwich bag glove for buttering a pan idea is going to change my freaking LIFE. Thank you!
You should see my canned goods and the towels in the bathroom

If you mix oil with your kale, it makes it easier to scrape into the trash.
